I am indebted to the world, to God, to my parents, to my four grandparents, to my siblings, relatives, my teachers, from Kindergarten to where I arrived in school; relatives, friends, acquaintances, neighbors, colleagues, and former colleagues... even with some strangers whom I only got to see once or twice in my life, without knowing their name, origin, past, occupation; neighborhood or district of residence (or dwelling), etcetera.
I am indebted to "half humankind (this is hyperbole); that is, to many people.
What can I do to try to pay off those debts? Because... some of my creditors have already died, and it may be that others have already done so, a fact that I do not know.
I believe that:
I have to start giving time, knowledge, and work (not financially paid, and also put more energy, or hard work or tenacity in the other, in the financially paid, to perform work of the highest possible quality according to my preparation and my knowledge).
If my creditors have already died, I will have to try to "pay" them by way of benefiting their close ones, the human beings they loved or esteemed, children, grandchildren, employees, former employees, friends, and so on.
But, according to me, it would be better not to give anything for free to those who do not deserve it, to the free riders, to the profiteers, to the abusers, to those who go through life just looking for who to harm, to whom to take something of the most valuable thing there is: time; Who to steal money or objects from, who to fool around, and so on.
Neither does it benefit those carefree, indolent, and inconsiderate people who tend to return damaged (or even useless) items or devices that they have loaned to all toxic individuals. To guys lacking any sense of civility...
